Growth and Operations Lead
About Nowear
Nowear is a boutique apparel and brand agency that partners with some of the most exciting brands, creators, and organisations to design, produce and manage their apparel, uniforms and merchandise programs.
We don’t just make clothing.
We help organisations build strategic apparel ecosystems that elevate their brand, streamline operations and unlock new revenue opportunities.
Our team works across the entire lifecycle of apparel programs - from concept and creative direction through to manufacturing, logistics and ongoing merchandise operations. Whether it’s uniforms for growing businesses, merchandise for creators, or fully realised brand collections, our focus is always the same: premium product, thoughtful design and operational excellence.
As brands grow, apparel often becomes fragmented - multiple suppliers, inconsistent quality, missed opportunities and operational headaches. Nowear exists to solve that problem.
We act as a single strategic partner who helps organisations diversify and professionalise their apparel offering across uniforms, merchandise and branded products. Our model blends creative agency thinking with production and supply chain capability, allowing our clients to focus on their core business while we manage the complexities behind the scenes.
The result is apparel programs that are more cohesive, more scalable and far more impactful for the brands we work with.
Despite working with global brands and high-profile clients, Nowear remains intentionally boutique in structure. We believe smaller teams, high standards and entrepreneurial thinking produce the best outcomes.
As the business grows, we’re now looking for someone exceptional to help operate and scale the company.
The Role
We’re not looking for a traditional account manager.
We’re looking for someone who wants to help build an agency.
This role sits at the centre of Nowear and works directly with the founders to help drive the day-to-day operation and growth of the business.
The person we’re looking for will operate across multiple areas including client relationships, project delivery, business operations and identifying opportunities for growth.
If you’re the right person, this role will naturally evolve into a senior leadership position inside the company.
We want someone entrepreneurial, commercially aware and comfortable taking ownership.
This isn’t a corporate role and it isn’t designed for someone who wants to sit within a narrow job description.
This is an opportunity to help build and shape a growing agency.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
This role sits at the centre of the business and will touch many areas, including:
Client Relationships
Building strong relationships with our clients and ensuring their apparel programs run smoothly from concept through to delivery.
You’ll act as a trusted partner who understands what our clients are trying to achieve and ensures their projects are executed to the highest standard.
Project Success
Overseeing apparel programs and making sure projects move efficiently through design, development and production.
This includes coordinating internal teams, managing timelines and ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.
Business Operations
Helping improve the systems, processes and workflows that allow Nowear to operate smoothly and scale sustainably.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring the business runs efficiently day-to-day.
Growth & Opportunity
Working alongside the founders to identify new opportunities to expand our offering and deepen relationships with existing clients.
This could involve refining our services, improving how we deliver projects or helping unlock new business.
Team Coordination
Helping align our internal team and external partners so that everyone is working effectively toward the same outcome.
The Type of Person We’re Looking For
This role requires a high level of personal agency.
We’re looking for someone who naturally takes ownership, solves problems proactively and moves things forward without needing constant direction.
You might currently work in:
an agency
a startup or founder-led business
a product company
operations or client leadership
brand partnerships or merchandise programs
But more important than your background is how you think and operate.
The right person will likely:
Have experience managing projects, teams or clients
Be highly organised but also commercially minded
Be comfortable operating across multiple areas of a business
Enjoy solving problems and building better systems
Have an entrepreneurial mindset and strong sense of ownership
Ultimately we’re looking for someone who could step in and run the operational side of the company if needed
Long-Term Opportunity
For the right person, this role has the potential to evolve into a long-term leadership position within Nowear.
We are open to structuring performance-based equity participation for someone who demonstrates exceptional impact and commitment to the growth of the company.
This is not something offered lightly, but we believe strongly in rewarding people who help build real value.
Our goal is to bring in someone who wants to grow with the business and play a meaningful role in shaping its future.
Why This Role Is Different
This role is designed for someone who wants to be more than just an employee.
You’ll be working directly with the founders, helping operate and scale a growing business while gaining exposure to every part of the company.
You’ll be trusted with real responsibility and given the autonomy to help improve how the business runs.
If you’re someone who enjoys building things, solving problems and operating at the centre of a growing company, this role could be a unique opportunity.
